CONSTITUTION DAY CELEBRATION AND MUMBAI ATTACKS

The constitution day was celebrated in Mount St. Ann High School on 26th No. 2019. The event was organized by the students of Class 8 B under the guidance of class teacher.

            Constitution Day also known samvidhan Divas is celebrated to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. The Government of India declared 26th Nov as Constitution Day on Nov 2015 by a  gazette notification. The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi made the declaration on 11 Oct. 2015 while laying the foundation stone of the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar statue of equality memorial in Mumbai.

            The program began with a prayer, thanking the Almighty for the gift of you Constitution and the hardwork of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The students presented to the assembly the important of constitution Day celebration. The Preamble and the portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was beautifully decorated and displayed at 11:00am the staff along with the students gathered in the campus, and Principal Sr. Irine hoisted the National Flag with due respect followed by reading of the preamble.

            On this day also remembered the eight of the attacks occurred in South Mumbai in 2008. Rendering due respect and praying for the innocent lives who were the victims of this attack, the assembly maintained few moment of silence to pray for them.

            The Principal addressed and expressed her gratitude to all the students for this effort in presenting this assembly and this love for nation.
